An initiatory journey of nine days to welcome a new cycle of life with clarity, freedom, love and a spirit of adventure, in a beautiful and welcoming natural setting that invites you to rest and reconnect with yourself, deep in the forest.

This ancestral immersion invites you into the world of sacred plants, ancient wisdom and the ceremonial traditions of Putumayo, Colombia. A journey of connection with the living world, the teachings of the ancestors and your inner truth.

Guided by representatives of the Kamëntsá tradition and accompanied by the ancestral wisdom of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the medicine of the Ikaros, these nine days offer a space to honour what belongs to the past, reconnect with what truly matters and open yourself to what is emerging in your life.

This intimate and intentionally simple immersion invites you into a deep process of personal healing in a traditional setting, close to nature.

Through ceremonies, the medicines of Yagé and cacao, sacred rituals and individual support, we enter a process of listening, release and renewal, preparing the ground for a new chapter in life.

At the threshold of a new cycle, REBIRTH is an invitation to leave behind what you are ready to release and step into the next chapter of your life with renewed clarity and intention.

You will be supported throughout the entire process: from preparation before departure, through the immersion itself, to integration after your return.

AT THE ROOT OF YAGÉ

I will take you to the territory of Putumayo, in the region of Mocoa, which I have been exploring since 2017 through my journeys of ancestral wisdom and study.

Here, surrounded by the living territory where many of the plants used in traditional Amazonian medicine grow, we will stay in the ceremonial house of Mama Concha, of the Kamëntsá people.

Maima Concha inherited the knowledge and practice of Yagé through her family lineage. This knowledge has been transmitted through generations and is deeply rooted in the relationship between plants, territory, community and the spiritual world.

Yagé is an ancestral medicine and a sacred teaching spirit within the traditions of several Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. In this context, working with Yagé is not simply about drinking a plant preparation. It is about entering into a relationship with a living tradition, with the territory and with the knowledge that has been carried through generations.

All the indigenous Yagé masters I have met say the same about Yagé, it is made to consent Life. To help you grow within a wider understanding of yourself, the physical and unphysical realms.

Putumayo is a territory deeply connected to these ancestral traditions. It is home to several Indigenous peoples, including the Kamëntsá, Inga, Cofán, Siona and Koreguaje, each with their own traditions, languages and ways of relating to Yagé.

During this retreat, we will have the opportunity to experience Yagé within this ancestral and cultural context, with respect for the tradition and the territory from which this knowledge comes.

FROM THE LUNGS OF THE EARTH TO THE HEART OF THE WORLD

My own journey in Colombia is also deeply connected to another sacred territory: the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where I live and where, over the past 10 years, I have developed relationships with the guardians of the Heart of the World: the Arhuaco, Wiwa, Kankuamo and Kogi First Nations.

This retreat creates a meeting point between these two territories.

Yagé ceremonies belong to the Kamëntsá tradition and are guided by the Maima and Taita who carry these teachings.

At the same time, I bring elements from my own path and experience in the Sierra Nevada into the preparation, accompaniment and integration of the journey.

The intention is not to merge traditions, but to allow different paths of ancestral knowledge to meet with respect, each remaining rooted in its own territory and lineage. Each ancestral wisdom is an expression of the Source, and the Source is the same for all.

MY RELATIONSHIP WITH YAGÉ

My relationship with Yagé began more than 20 years ago. Ten years ago, the plant called me to its territory.

Over the years, it has been an important part of my journey of learning, questioning and developing my relationship with the ancestral traditions of Colombia, Peru and Brazil.

For the past 15 years, I have been organizing and accompanying ceremonies, creating spaces where people from different backgrounds can approach these experiences with preparation, respect and awareness.

This experience has taught me something simple:

The ceremony starts long before we enter the maloca — and continues long after we leave it.

As one of my Taitas says: “The ceremony begins after the ceremony.”

How we prepare, how we approach the experience and how we integrate what emerges are all essential parts of the journey.

This is why personal accompaniment, preparation and integration are at the heart of REBIRTH.

A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP

Each person's journey with Yagé is unique. It may bring up emotions, memories, questions, moments of beauty or difficulty, or simply silence.

My intention is to offer a space in which you can approach this experience with awareness and respect for the tradition, while receiving support before, during and after the retreat.

During the retreat, we will take part in three Yagé ceremonies, each guided by Mama Concha within the Kamëntsá ceremonial tradition.

You will be invited to approach each ceremony with your own intention, while remaining open to whatever arises, without any particular expectations about what you should experience.

Everyone's experience is different. What unfolds cannot be determined in advance, and integrating what you have experienced will remain a personal process.

My relationship with Yagé began more than twenty years ago, and for the past fifteen years I have organised and supported ceremonies.

My path has developed through years of learning and experience with the ancestral traditions of Colombia, Peru and Brazil, as well as through my relationship with the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where I live and where I have developed connections with Mamos and guardians of Indigenous knowledge.

During REBIRTH, I support participants throughout the journey, from preparation to integration. I offer individual consultations, sing Ikaros during rituals and guided meditations, and provide personal support, creating space to explore emotional patterns, memories and deeper layers of experience.

My role is to support each person's journey with presence and care, while honouring the Kamëntsá tradition and the authority of those who carry its ceremonial knowledge.

Mama Concha is a yagécera and curandera from the Kamëntsá community of Sibundoy. Her life and practice are deeply rooted in the ancestral traditions of Yagé and Amazonian medicinal plants.

Introduced to this medicine during childhood within her family, she has carried this knowledge for many years, continuing a lineage of ancestral healing practices passed down from generation to generation.

Now based in the Kamëntsá territory of Mocoa, where she welcomes us into her maloca, her traditional ceremonial house, Mama Concha shares the knowledge and practices of her lineage. Her work with Yagé and medicinal plants is recognised in Putumayo and beyond, reflecting a deep, lifelong relationship with plants and their healing potential.

Through her guidance, we have the opportunity to discover Putumayo not simply as visitors, but by developing a closer relationship with its land, ancestral traditions and people.

THREE YAGÉ CEREMONIES
Three ceremonial nights held within the Kamëntsá tradition, guided by Mama Concha and her family. Each ceremony offers a space to encounter the ancestral medicine within the context of its living tradition.

We will explore the surrounding territory, following paths that lead to waterfalls.
A time to connect with the elements and experience the richness of the natural world directly, making space for a deeper connection with nature and with yourself.

NINE DAYS AT THE HEART OF THE TERRITORY

This retreat is intentionally intimate, with a maximum of six participants. The small group allows us to honour the rhythm of the territory, offer personal attention and support each participant throughout the journey.

Rather than following a rigid schedule, we allow space for the experience to unfold naturally, guided by the ceremonial rhythm, the needs of the group and the life of the territory.

Arriving in Putumayo, settling into Mama Concha's ceremonial home and meeting the people who will accompany the journey.

ENTERING THE PROCESS
Take time to arrive physically and emotionally, become familiar with the surroundings, begin to find your place within the rhythm of the land and the group, and prepare for the initiatory journey ahead.

Gathering for a cacao ceremony to mark the beginning of our time together and open the space for the journey ahead.

YAGÉ CEREMONIES
Experiencing three ceremonial nights guided by Mama Concha and her family, within the Kamëntsá tradition.

The Journey Continues After the Retreat

An experience of this depth does not end when you leave Putumayo.

Preparation, ceremony and integration are part of one continuous journey, beginning before the retreat and continuing after you return home.

During our time together, there will be space to rest, reflect, share and begin making sense of what emerges.

After the retreat, I will offer integration support, giving you the opportunity to revisit your experience, ask questions and explore how to bring what you have learned into your everyday life.

The intention is not to hold on to the intensity of the retreat, but to allow its meaning to unfold over time.

It is about discovering what you will carry with you into the next cycle of your life.

A SIMPLE AND AUTHENTIC STAY

During the retreat, we will stay with Mama Concha in her traditional wooden house, located next to the maloca, her ceremonial house.

The accommodation is simple and shared, in keeping with the way of life in this territory. You will sleep on mattresses on the floor, sharing the space with the group and living in rhythm with the natural sounds of the Amazon.

This is not a luxury retreat. The facilities are basic, and you may encounter insects, hear the natural sounds of the forest and experience the everyday realities of living close to nature.

We want you to know this in advance so that you can arrive with realistic expectations and an open mind.

If you are looking for hotel comfort and luxury accommodation, this retreat may not be right for you.

If you are drawn to simplicity, connection, intimacy and an experience deeply rooted in the land, you may feel at home here.

THE GROUP

REBIRTH is intentionally held in a small group of six participants maximum.

This intimate setting allows for personal attention, a deeper quality of support and space for each person to move through the experience at their own pace. It also encourages trust and connection within the group, while respecting everyone's individual process.

Participation is confirmed through an application and preparation process, helping ensure that each person is informed, prepared and aligned with the nature of the journey.

Your contribution supports the retreat, accommodation and meals, local logistics, the presence of the traditional guide, ceremonial practices, preparation, personal support and integration.

Prices do not include travel costs to Mocoa.
Price does not include individual therapies made on request.
Toilet and showers are shared in private bathrooms dedicated to the group.

RESERVATION

A deposit of €900 is required to secure your place after your application has been accepted and your participation confirmed.

The remaining balance is payable no later than one month before the beginning of the retreat.

International flights, transportation to and from Putumayo, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.

4. PREPARATION

You will begin your personal preparation process and receive all the practical information needed for your journey.

5. PUTUMAYO

We meet on the territory and begin our nine-day journey together.

6. INTEGRATION

The process continues after you return home through integration support.

PREPARATION, SAFETY & SUITABILITY

A ceremonial journey with Yagé requires preparation, respect and personal responsibility. It is not an experience to be approached lightly or simply as a form of tourism.

BEFORE JOINING US

During the application process, we will discuss your intentions, expectations, relevant health considerations and any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to understand the ceremonial context and the simple living conditions before committing to the journey.

Please disclose any health conditions, medications or other circumstances that could be relevant to your participation. Some medical or psychiatric conditions and some medications may make participation unsafe. If you have any concerns, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before applying. Do not stop or change prescribed medication on your own.

Mama Concha retains the traditional authority to determine whether and how Yagé is offered to each participant. Applying for the retreat does not guarantee participation in every ceremony.

WHO IS THIS RETREAT NOT FOR?

REBIRTH may not be suitable for people seeking a recreational or purely tourist experience, those expecting guaranteed healing or transformation, or those who are not comfortable with communal accommodation and basic facilities.

It may also be unsuitable for people whose health conditions, medications or other circumstances make participation unsafe.

If you are unsure whether this journey is appropriate for you, please raise your questions during the application process and seek qualified medical advice where relevant. Safety and informed choice come first.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need previous experience with Yagé?

No previous experience is required. What matters most is preparation, respect for the traditions, openness and personal responsibility.

Is participation in all three Yagé ceremonies guaranteed?

No.

The ceremonial work remains under the traditional authority of Maima Concha. She determines whether and how Yagé is given to each participant, according to her own traditional practice and discernment.

Will I be staying in a hotel?

No. The accommodation is simple and communal, in Maima Concha’s traditional wooden home next to the maloca. You will sleep on mattresses placed on the floor.

How many people will participate?

The retreat is limited to a maximum of 6 participants.

Are flights included?

No. International flights and transportation to Putumayo are not included.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. You do not need to know anyone else in the group.

What should I bring?

You will receive a complete preparation and packing guide before the retreat.

What is the integration process?

Integration begins during the retreat, through periods of rest, reflection, sharing and personal support.

After the retreat, you will also have access to integration support to reflect on your experience and explore how to integrate what you have learned into your everyday life.

Are additional treatments included?

No. The individual consultations included in the retreat are part of the program. Any additional sessions, consultations, massages or individual treatments requested beyond what is included are offered separately, subject to availability.
